About EUDI Reference Wallet by FortID

The EUDI Reference Wallet by FortID is a sample digital wallet app showcasing how the FortID solution (Issuer and Verifier) aligns with EUDI standards.

Introduction

EUDI Reference Wallet by FortID is based on the official EUDI Reference Wallet. It has been built, rebranded and published by FortID. The following changes have been made:

  • The source code is taken from the following git tag: Demo_Version=2025.03.24-Demo_Build=24.
  • The logo has been updated to reflect that the wallet is published by FortID.
  • Issuer and Verifier addresses have been modified to point to FortID servers.

For your convenience, the EUDI Reference Wallet by FortID is now available on the Google Play Store. For detailed installation instructions and alternative installation methods, please refer to our guide here Download FortID Wallet

If you still prefer to build the EUDI Reference Wallet from the official source code, please follow the instructions in this guide: Building EUDI Reference Wallet.

EUDI Reference Issuer

The EUDI Reference Issuer is used to issue PIDs. The current implementation of the EUDI Reference Wallet can only issue PIDs from the EUDI Reference Issuer. Due to changes in the latest EUDI drafts, and because the EUDI reference implementation project is a moving target, we were forced to lock the supported version of the EUDI Reference Wallet to Demo_Version=2025.03.24-Demo_Build=24 (we will catch up with the latest version soon).

Since the latest version of the EUDI Reference Issuer is not backward compatible, we have instructed the EUDI Reference Wallet by FortID application to use our own hosted version of the EUDI Reference Issuer (version 0.7.2.).
